Re: bluprints?

The link that doctormax has posted (whiteensignmodels) are one of the best for radio control boat items over here in the UK. THEY ARE VERY GOOD.

As for the Jecobin Plans that they sell, they are used all around the world by radio control builders and are really good. I have Jacobin plans for the type 22 frigate and they are excellent quality. I promised them to Barry a few years back, but I never got around to sorting that out. I still plan on sending them to him, though I do need to finish the boat first.

Nothing, if you want to get hold of the Jacobin plans, I am willing order them and ship them direct to you. Don't want any payment/monies for doing this, just let me have a copy of the model when your done designing the sub.

Re: bluprints?

I second the recommendation for White Ensign. They are the best, quick turnaround time, great products, and customer service is top notch. And the Jacobin plans are fantastic as well, by all accounts.

Re: bluprints?

paul bell-that is a very generous offer but i dont know if the cost of the bluprints plus international shipping would be = to the kit. you would end up with the worse end of that deal.

Re: bluprints?

I've emailed whiteensign about the total costs. As long as the costs arn't excessive, I don't mind sending the plans to you. After all I've downloaded plenty of your models for free over the last few years.

I'll let you know when I get a reply from them.

Re: bluprints?

Hi nothing, got an email back this evening (UK time). I think they sent me the cost for delivery to the UK. I've asked if it was to the US or UK. They said the postage cost was only £2.50. If they are the same size plans as my HMS cornwall, thats cheep. I've also asked how long it would take to post to you.

Just to let you know the Cornwall plans are size A0, not sure what that is in US sizes.
