Can anyone help me cut up and rescale some .jpg files from 1:400 to 1:200?
Thanks! Jim

That doesn't look too bad. How many pages?

4 x A4. I need to get the pieces to fit (at 1:200) on 11" x 17".

It's probably beyond me, but maybe someone else would give it a shot

You can do it on Photoshop. The thing is do you know how to use Photoshop?

hi fishcarver, for 1:400 to 1:200, means that you have to expand it 100% ?
I once rescale a 1/144 to 1/700, shrunk it with powerpoint, some calculation needed, but for 1:400 to 1:200 that's expand it 100%, maybe you can try powerpoint? but beware that resizing a jpg, can effect the picture quality in term of pixel. |

I might be wrong, but i think it is possible to just print the image and select A3 as the printer size and A4 as the page size in the printer. I am assuming that you will be using a wide format printer. I think resizing from A4 to A3 will give you a 200% enlargement which will be what you are aiming for. And an A3 format will be in bounds of an 11 x 17 page.

I don't think it will - going from one A size to another gives an enlargement
of 1.4142 (the sizes are based on 1:sqrt(2)). The area of A3 compared to A4 is 2 x A4 but the 2 x A4 pages fitting onto an A3 sheet are rotated 90 degrees. Regards, Charlie |
