Total Annihilation terrain

I am trying to create a terrain to show off my models on:

The whole thing is going to be 50x50cm, but the largest pieces (the base and main land) are already too big to fit on A4 (or even A3), let alone letter or legal. I want to keep it buildable by novice papercrafters, so I need to keep it paper only. Can some of the terrain designers (like DagobahDave) give me some tips on how to slice it in to pieces that fit on A4/letter?

I am using Rhino, but have Inkscape and Gimp.
