texture to pepakura

Hi Guys, i know this might have been answered somewhere here, but my problem is, when i export my textured/colored file from sketchup to pepakura designer, i get a white untextured 3D model. I fiddle with the texture settings and see that tabs with "material_1 to 11" but only one of those materials worked. when i edit that, the texture is applied too all the model instead of just some parts. I saw somewhere the mention of inkscape, im not sure what its for and how to integrate it to pepakura. hoping for some nice help. thanks!
