The real Chinese character used in the picture is ‘国立父’ (in simplified chinese), it is a sound and meaning translation, the exact meaning of this is ‘forefather of national independence’. The real character used, is not simplified Chinese, it was ‘traditional chinese’ (more difficult to write and used before Republic Chinese was established in 1949. The character in picture in traditional Chinese is ‘國立父’.
