Smile New to Paper Airplane Modeling

Hi everyone!

Hope this finds you well to whoever is reading this. I am new to paper modeling, (well I have been assembling paper models since I was a kid but now I want to get into making my own custom models). I scoured the web but couldn't really find anything regarding this, so I chose to post here. I want to start out slow, maybe first repainting paper models. I am really into fighter jets, does anyone know how I can start re-color blank templates of fighter jets with different liveries? I don't know what tools to use or where to start. Any help is appreciated!

Thank you!
MAK

I and several others use Inkscape, it's free and gets the job done well enough. As for models to recolor, there are several in the Downloads section and Bruno (Scissorsandplanes) has hundreds of free models in this thread: One model per (non-working) day
With Inkscape, you can also remove the existing coloration on most models pretty easily, so you don't always need a blank template. Play around with it and feel free to ask more questions!

Glad to have you aboard

To which I would add, Inkscape will happily open pdf files.
Paint.NET is a useful program too, also open-source.
