News on the Eastern Front, Russians take the field
I've begun work on a diorama featuring CT's Russian WWI concept tank the Mendeleyev.
There have been comments on this forum about this tank and I won't restate them here. However, one feature I found interesting about this tank is how it creates a stable firing platform. The tank settles itself down on its tracks so that the body is flat on the ground. One of the 5 elements of accurate predicted fire for gun fire is weapons data and a stable platform. This would have created it. Plus I like that the tank utilized a 120mm gun. That is some serious fire support for the infantry, especially during WWI when most guns in 1915 were still in the 75-90mm range. The plan is to eventually showcase the different positions of the tank (firing and advancing). Work is slow due to working on another model of Corey's. Jeff |

There is one page of description and two of parts. Jeff |

Excellent images, Jeff.
So you have the tank, the diorama, and the gunboat andproceeding in parallel. No airplanes? Don |

Actually, I do have a Oddball plane printed and sitting behind the cutting board. Nuts, right?
