Čachtice Castle is a castle ruin in Slovakia next to the village of Čachtice. It stands on a hill featuring rare plants, and has been declared a national nature reserve for this reason. The castle was a residence and later the prison of the Countess Elizabeth Báthory.
Čachtice was built in the mid-13th century by Kazimir from the Hont-Pázmány gens as a sentry on the road to Moravia. Later, it belonged to Matthew Csák, the Stibor family, and then to Elizabeth Báthory. Čachtice, its surrounding lands and villages, was a wedding gift from the Nádasdy family upon Elizabeth's marriage to Ferenc Nádasdy in 1575.
Originally, Čachtice was a Romanesque castle with an interesting horseshoe shaped residence tower. It was turned into a Gothic castle later and its size was increased in the 15th and 16th centuries. A Renaissance renovation followed in the 17th century. In 1708 the castle was captured by the rebels of Francis II Rákóczi. It was neglected and burned down in 1799. It was left to decay until it was turned into a tourist attraction in 2014.

Quite nicely painted with about watercolor, it fits exactly into the 15x10 cm photo frame, a few photos:

Matúš's castles - 2.Trencin castle

The national cultural monument Trenčín Castle is part of the Trenčín Museum. Its history dates back to 10-11. The first written mention dates back to 1113. It was part of the line of border fortifications of the Hungarian state, guarding important fords on the river Váh and the Carpathian passes, through which passed trade routes connecting the area of northern Hungary and Central Slovak mining towns with Bohemia, Moravia , Silesia and Poland. In the following centuries, it became the seat of the border committee, the royal and later aristocratic county. His most important period is the reign of Matúš Čák. In 1780 the castle burned down and as a ruin it was the dominant feature of Trenčín until the middle of the 20th century, when the reconstruction began.

Quite nicely painted, it fits exactly into the 15x10 cm photo frame, a few photos:

Christmas postcard
Spatial image in a box

Author : Miroslav Rigitko a BaJ
Source: Fifík 12/2022

Since Nicholas is visiting us today, I pasted this 3D postcard, which was published in the last Fifík.
Sv. Nicholas is among the most popular saints. He lived in the 4th century in Myra, where he served as a bishop. This day commemorates his benevolent acts, helping people in need and his extraordinary piety. He is considered the patron saint of children. Feast of St. Saint Nicholas is especially popular with children, who look forward to being presented with sweets and various trinkets on this day. The custom is to clean your shoes, put them in a window in the evening and find a nice surprise in them in the morning. Later, the custom of visiting Nicholas with an angel and a devil, who gave out gifts and "devilish" rewards, became established in our country. So I hope you have been good and in the morning you will find sweets and not coal in your boots
I admit that I didn't quite understand how the pieces should fit together exactly, so I did it my way, I also made a frame for it. It's such a little thing on the shelf that will please...

I was talking with a friend from Romania yesterday and she mentioned the Feast of Saint Nicholas. Nice custom, like hanging Christmas stockings.

Over Christmas I glued a couple of nativity scenes from mylittlehouse.org. I was looking to see if I could glue something together for the Easter holiday and I found these few 3D pictures, which I hope to add here gradually. Today is Maundy Thursday, so I'll add the first picture:

I will not describe the content of the 3D picture here, whoever wants to can find it on the website, the author's website, or my website. I wish everyone a nice Easter.

Litice Castle
Spatial image in a box

Scale : ?
Author : Ondřej Sedláček
Source: ABC magazine

Litice are the ruins of a castle on a castle hill in the village of Litice nad Orlicí, about 7 km west of the town of Žamberk. Litice Castle was founded at the end of the 13th century under the last Przemysl family as part of the colonization of the sparsely populated border forest of northeastern Bohemia, which was royal property. The basins of the Divoka i Tiche Orlica were settled by members of the Drslavic family, who founded settlements in southwestern Bohemia and built the oldest castles in Pilsen - Litice and Potštejn.

ABC started releasing a series of 3D images, so I glued one together. As with Trenčín and Čachticy, I pasted it in a photo frame, I pasted the history of the castle on the back, otherwise it is pasted without modification., a few photos:

Emil Holub's African journey
Spatial image in a box

Scale : ?
Author : Přemysl Kubela
Source: ABC magazine

Dr. Emil Holub was a Czech traveler who traveled to Africa in 1883. The expedition, which had 8 members + a native escort, set out from South Africa on 4 wagons pulled by oxen into the interior. The expedition had many difficulties, the whole expedition fell ill with malaria, while 2 members of the expedition died. As they progressed north, they entered the territory of hostile natives, one member of the expedition was killed and his head ended up as a trophy which was the end of the expedition, which returned back to S. Africa.
Dr. Holub returned home in 1887 after 4 years of traveling in Africa. He brought 130 boxes of natural history and ethnographic collections, which he exhibited in Vienna and Prague. The collections eventually ended up in the Museum of Dr. Emil Holub in his native Holice, which can still be visited today.

This spatial image captures Holub's journey at the beginning, when his expedition was still complete. I followed the same procedure as for the previous pictures - I made a cardboard box, sprayed it and put it on a classic photo frame. I used sprinkles on the bottom of the box so that the figures are not just stuck on a black background. On the back, I pasted the text from Mr. Kubel, which came out with the 3D image. This is the first picture by P.Kubel and certainly not the last. A few photos:
