Update:

Wings and gear covers done!
All that's left are the landing gears.

Thanks!

Anyway, I'm done with the skinning!

Now I can move on to that elusive final build. And if that turns out well, I'll make some simple instructions, produce that PDF file, and upload to the files section.

Here are some shots:

I got a bit lazy for this one. I just went ahead and recycled the landing gear textures from my Heinkel P.1078. :o

Here's a shot of the wheel wells.

And here's a shot of the exhaust.

Finally, here's a preview of the colored pepakura unfuld.

Smile

After a long....long...LONG pause, I'm happy to get back to work!
Yeah!

It took a while to get that final build started. Here's how far I've gotten so far:

Awww...shoot... the camera can be so cruel! It even picked up the wet bead of glue on the wing roots. Well, at least you can tell the model is still hot off the assembly line. Hehehehe.

I dunno if I can finish the landing gears before Christmas eve sets in though... I guess that will have to wait.

This is certainly a very interesting-looking aircraft that will make a unique model.

Wonderful! Or perhaps wunderbar would be more appropriate. Great design, and the livery is colorful and eyecatching. I can build other people's designs pretty well, but I envy all you builder/designers who can do both. Maybe when I retire in a couple of years I'll have the time to learn. It must be extremely rewarding to see what you've pictured in your head go from an idea, to a 3D design, to a finished model. I salute you.

Thanks for the kind remarks.

Once I finish those landing gears, I'll get started on the instructions/guides so I can upload this baby in the files section.
