Any interest in making this a quarterly contest?

RE: Descriptions
Only if you'd like to and have the time, just a simple more or less 100 words, about the model, why you chose it and what you liked- or didn't like It's a nice touch having a caption to go with your photos. Again, this is not required.

We'll upload everything around October/November when I have some help in the studio and add the $20 bucks credit then if that's OK. BTW,, to make it clearer just one $20 per member- not per model. Staying focused on finishing up the next Story Book House.

Lastly, please let us know if you'd like to drop the $20 into the Angels fund for fellow modelers having trouble to renewing their magic keys OR toward modeling supplies for Hospitalized Vets.

I don't think we missed anything. It' looks like the contest just died.

It's kind of funny when I look back on it. I joined this group just so I could enter the FG contest.

The contest did not die...it ended...twice!

Official end for most was in July...an extension was allowed for late builders until labor day.

...and Chip made an announcement around Labor Day:

Happy Labor day everyone !!
To me EVERYONE who took part in FGMM is a winner
and all participants are getting 20 bucks store credit toward any FG models..
All I ask is to please email (please, no more than) three medium sized images of each of your entries along with your permission to post them on the FG website this fall when we return to AZ.
A (less than 100 words) explanation would be nice but certainly not required. You'll see the 20 bucks in your MyModels account
These will undoubtably be the best 'builds' of our designs and I'll sure appreciate being able to share them with our website visitors.

Rick, may I suggest this?

As we're going through the images, would you like me to try and figure out first, second, third, and honorable mention?
We have those promised DVDs ready to burn and send..
HOWEVER, I'd like to keep the winners name's confidential if that's OK..

Thanks again to
EVERYONE for FGMM !!!!
Chip and Annie

I know, I submitted my entries to FG...haven't seen any more info yet,
but I know FG is a busy place right now.

Not sure what happened to the original idea of judging a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each category?
(Chip offered an amazing prize - full FG model catalog to all winners!)
...
maybe when Chip finds the time he will be able to go through the entries and pick some winners.
Regardless of the judging issue, the contest was a ton of fun and brought out some great model builds!!

I must apologize to everyone

I massively dropped the ball on this.
I have been so busy with work, and this slipped so far on the back burner

I will try to finalize this.

I truly am sorry I let this all fall apart.

Rick

I could not agree more! Should be done more often.

Simmer down guys )
We're just starting to go through the images now.. Its always kinda hectic re-booting the Arizona studio after the summer on the road..

Over all these are BY FAR the best models I've ever seen, and having only images to work with it's going to be a tough call.
