Excellent Valmy,I really wish I still had the Adrian helmet that my Grandfather brought back from Dunkirk,as well as all the other souvenirs of his military service. I look forward to seeing the finished figure.

Thanks Gixerg,

It seems to be good but it's not finished. After, I will create a group (five or six figures for the moment : officer, rifle man, wounded, etc).

Faithfully
Valmy

PS : Last night, I did a test and I reduced the scale to 1/50 or 1/48. The result looks good but I must simplify the figure.

This is very high quality work, Valmy! The body of the soldier and the helmet look not only realistic, but they have a very pleasing look to them -- you are constructing a work of art, as well as history, mon ami!

Hi Don,

Thank you for your compliment Don, which touches me deeply. I want to design and build many more. As we said in France : "one becomes a blacksmith forging !". So I don't want to stop now.

have you thirsty ?

Hello,

I send a new picture : the gourd before the paint work (dry and lavis method). The cap is made with a toothpick tip cut.
