RX-0 Unicorn Gundam

This is my latest project, the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam from Paper-Replika.com. The design is broken down into eight parts:
Part 1 - head
Part 2 - torso
Part 3 - shoulders
Part 4 - waist
Part 5 - arms
Part 6 - legs
Part 7 - jet pack
Part 8 - shield and weapons

Part 1 - head: the head consists of one sheet of 37 parts.
First pictures show basic head components assembled.

Here is the start of the next component for the Unicorn Gundam - the torso.
The torso consists of 45 parts printed on three sheets.

Here is the main structure of the torso. I reinforced most of the parts with 0.5 mm card since most everything mounts to this part:

Here I have added the shoulder supports. Again I have reinforced these parts because the shoulders and arms attach to these:

More progress on the torso:
first pictures show added bits to the chest and top of torso:

A few more parts to add to the torso and then its on to the shoulders.

Excellent build. What is the total parts count on this? It looks to be beyond my current abilities. Thanks for sharing.

The build is broken down into sections:
Head-37 parts
Torso-45 parts
Shoulders-50 parts
Waist-60 parts
Arms-58 parts per arm
Legs-68 parts per leg
Jet Pack-49 parts
Shield-28 parts
Bazooka-31 parts
Beam Gun-46 parts
For a total of 598 parts-Dang! It seems pretty daunting if you look at it that way.
