Just completed the arms and head. No changes to the head assembly and only slight changes to the arms with making the top and bottom of the uppoer arm asembly separate parts to ensure stronger pieces and a hardier joint. For the right hand where the gun would be joined I have changed the assembly to add card all the way around the hand instead of just cutting out a portion which weakens the hand and removed crad the join the gun to.

Final prodcut included in the pictures. Now i am going to start the changes for the fighter and follow the progress and changes in pictures.

Thanks

Are the vents open on the lower chest? I thought they were closed in Battloid mode and only open in Gerwalk mode?

The vents are open in the chest, from all the reference models, diagrams, books and plans that I could find I could'nt find anything that stated the vents close in the Battroid mode and thus have given the 3d effect to them.

Now moving onto the changes for the fighter mode of the VF1A. The first change the the manner in which the wings are joined to the body. In the past it was a separate complicated joint which has now been streamlined to have the tabs on the actual base of the body and one ring to glue the tabs to. If you use the wing strengtheners in the download section don't trim the tabs before gluing the bottom and top together.

A further change is the intakes in 3D for the body.

Next change already shown in the battroid mode is tail with the scalloped parts in the bottom part U to fit the tail tabs to ensure a flat bottom. Also an additional layer of card added to the jet pack to make it more sturdy for joining to the tail section.

Starting on the engines and intakes I have changed the exhausts to add more shape to them when looked at straight down and an addition of a curve to the nozzles to add more depth compared to the straight box exhausts in the existing designs. I have also moved the inner part down to make it easier to see firstly and secondly to add strength to the part that is no longer square and rigid.

Finished the test build of the balance of the engines and intake. Only real changes to these parts is the addition of more detail to the intake and adding a separate knee cover to reflect the proper configeration of the leg when stowed.

Next if the cockpit build and the changes that have been introduced there.

Thanks
