Yes! Rick...Build! Build!

Is this all ink? Would it be better to make a blank and do it in colored cardstock? Hows about a transformable model? Go, Go! I'm loving it so far (can you tell that I like Macross). I like the drama in Macross, but I like the music better in Robotech. Here is a link to the Macross Fever Pachinko Machine here in Japanhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvZ7x9mkhDA

You Love Macross? I couldn't tell

Some of the pieces would be better printed on colored cardstock, but it's mostly on the individual build style of whomever is building it. The way Im doing it works for me, and allows me to control the shading of the blue more than a printer or colored cardstock would.

Awesome Pachinko machine.

Progress so far. It's starting to take shape.

Please note, Although the segments are glued together, they are not glued to other segments. That will come at the end of the build.

The last pic in this post is just a Pic of what's completed so far.

Looking great DR..
Now a Q to Thunderchild.. ever though about recoloring to what might have been the original Zentradi coloration?

I think it will be better to design that one from scratch, rather than do a recolor. I do intend to design the movie version SDF at some point, but it's too far down my list.

There's not a lot of information about Zor's flagship (Robotech) before it crashed on earth. Much less images.
All references on the "pre-crash" SDF-1 is based on the movie version of the anime titled "The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love?" and the ship in the movie differs greatly from the one seen in the TV series.

The first pic is of the pre-crash ship and the second pic is of the movie-version SDF-1. Even these two have a lot of differences...

I for one would LOVE to be first on the list to help you test build it when you make it, Especially if you make it the same scale as the SDF-1 im building.

Engines complete

Both Engines complete, and now I have a general Idea of the finished length of my SDF-1. Roughly about 17 inches :D
