Roman Legionario AD 55

Hi all, I have made another Zio Prudenzio figure. This time the Romsn soldier. It went together ok. The only small issue was joining the skirt to the armoured vest. The skirt was too big to go under, too tight to go over and slightly the wrong shape to butt join. In the end I butt joined and covered the join with the belt. I printed this a year ago. If I was to do it again I would recolour the skirt and sleeves red. I saw a painting of a similar soldier with a red skirt and it was striking.

I would have to agree that red would be very striking. If you do that, you might want to tone down the circles under his eyes. He almost looks like he is wearing glasses (and somewhat resembles my dad). I just checked Zio's image and the file, and it is in the design. Interesting.

Looks good, though. I might just have to play with this and put Dad's face on it

11slaw, Thanks for mentioning those ABC kits. I have been looking for a Samurai, so if I can track one down it will be great.
Vermin_King, the idea of putting your dad's face on a figure has inspired me to make a knight with my dad's face on it. I think he would like that. One of Zio's knights looks like he put his own face on it as well.

Yes he did. I still don't have the last arm on yet (other projects get in the way)
