Told ya they were addictive ... I'm even designing them myself now.

Near completion ... Darth Vader. To go with Motorcycle modeler's StormTrooper (If he ever publishes it, that is)

Also on my drawing board ... Super Man, Wonder Woman, and The Stig.

I'm thinking of doing the minion with the lights on his head. (My sister in law loves him). Unless there's one out there already?

Eh, too thick paper when you print them out 3 pages to a page.

Funny, none of the photos I've seen of these guys have a pointy head like this one. Oh, well.

I use a large marble glued to the end of a pen barrel. Pushed inside the head (before closing the bottom), it acts as an anvil to burnish the outside to a rounder state and flatten the seams.

Even with the 2" tall ones I'm making, I find 160 gsm card more workable than 80 gsm paper. It helps them survive the Rug-Rats fingers a bit better too.

I also add a little bit of lead into the feet. This allows them to stand firmly without a base.

New Minions nearly complete (but not a lot of time to work on them lately) Darth Vader, and a Star Wars Trooper.

On the Minion drawing board ... Super Man, Wonder Woman, Batman. and The Stig. Watch this space.

I realize you're on the other side of the pond, but how about a couple of American football helmeted minions? The New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks come to mind. Superbowl today.

Mine work out to about 2 1/2 inches tall. These are the only two on my list to do, but I think it would work better if the tabs didn't go all in the same direction. I mean alternate between petals with tabs on both sides and then petals with no tabs to overlap. It would allow greater control of the shape. Not using 110 lb paper would help, too

VK ... give Bruno's (Scissorsandplanes) Minions a go. The heads are constructed without using petals. Makes for a neater curved surface, but the seams still need burnishing to blend them in.
