Minions

These things are addictive. I started with a couple of large(ish) ones from Paper Replika. I also downloaded a few of the re-paints, but never got around to making them. THEN ... Bruno (Scissorsandpaper) gave out 9 little ones and I got hooked. So now I'm reducing the Paper Replika ones to go with Bruno's minis.

They shrink down quite well, but the petal fold heads are a pain in this size. I've still got a few more to go yet, so I might have to find a bigger shelf for them.

Keep on snippin' ... Johnny.

They look great. Lots of fun. I've built just one of Bruno's (so far). I've been looking for a Christmas (santa hat) minion to make as an ornament for my daughter, but I don't think anyone has designed one yet.

Haven't found any either.
A week or two ago my wife asked to design one as Xmas decoration but we finally chose something more classic. So you came quite close of getting one from me.

PS: Johnny, wonderful family. Don't they scare your birds too much?

Bruno

If you designers want some inspiration for an Xmas Minion, try this ...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJ50YCpYkqM

Stick with it past the advert ...

Just imagine building enough minions to make the tree ...

Keep on snippin' ... Johnny.

OK, so I made my own Santa ... Complete with nurse ... He's gettin' on a bit y'know.

He's a re-colour of Bruno's Minion no7, with a scratch built hat.

The Nurse is a re-colour(More of a de-colour) of the Paper-replika Maid.
My Daughter just asked why the Nurse doesn't have any nickers on?

Keep on snippin' ... Johnny.

All yours if anyone wants them ...

I hand painted the top of the head white after assembly. Probably better to white out the yellow from the upper head bands before printing.

Nurse needs to be printed at 50% to match Bruno's scale. Head needs serious burnishing to get it round.

Keep on snippin' ... Johnny.

Bruno's gang of 8 ... plus Biggles .

My Shrinks from Paper-Replika ... so far ... Got a few more to go yet.

As I said at the start ... these things are addictive!

At least they are not as prolific as Cubees or Pokemon, eh?
