The Samurai
I started the model some time ago after seeing a Samurai kit by a Mr. Ray Lamb of the UK. ..lovely metal kit beautifully painted. I decided I can do better with the medium I use (scratch building) I visited the Tower of London ro get a closer view of the real thing, then got a book on the subject, fully detailed. I ended with a semi finished model as it was driving me crazy...the helmet is composed of over 300 pieces, and the system I used required jigs to produce equal lengths. I will post pics of the unfinished parts to show the before and after effect. The lower body part is made from milliput and will have pad printed flowers/patterns later...if I decide on a full model vs an armor on a stand!

Notes on Chinese Paper Armor - Great River Taoist Center Forums
Not samurai that I have seen but, lower order soldiers where cost was important. |
