Don, Thanks.
I am making slow but steady progress. Knowing how I built the left arm, did not speed up the process of completing the right arm. I will let the glue cure overnight and install the arm tomorrow. I have 3 of the four sections of the left leg assembled (the boot sole is only partly glued). I hope to finish the leg tomorrow also. |

Santa now has both arms installed. One leg has been assembled after many dry fittings. I finally said to myself, "fish or cut bait", and applied the glue. It isn't perfect, but if it attaches to the body properly, I'll live with it.

Things are moving in the right direction. I have finished the other leg and Santa's hind quarters. The legs were the hardest part, so far. The complex angles would be easier to line up and glue if you had 3 more sets of eyes on movable stalks.

OK, I was able to glue the legs together, and they actually fit! Maybe I will get the figure finished tonight (no guarantees).

VK, your crossed fingers did it! I completed the Santa! Now I have the sled and the reindeer to complete before Christmas eve.

I'd say Santa turned out right well John. Good job and best of luck on the sled and reindeer!

Thanks, Elliott,
I think I'm going to need lots of luck for the reindeer. I just took a good look at the parts! |
