thats the whole point.

for the Turn-A series they invited a non-japanese designer in to try and get a fresh set of eyes and a new look on the gundam franchise.
syd mead (of bladerunner, aliens, 2010, short curcuit, yamato, etc fame) brought that, and then some.

i think some Turn-A models would be an injection of fresh papercraft designs to the community, much the same as what syd brought to the gundam franchise itself.

@G1
I followed you since in zealot, what's your project now? If I ever make the tequila, will you build it for me? as a beta builder.. but then again.. If...

I still can't promise anything..
bid still on!

thanks all!
Hey CB,

If you do the Tequilia of course I'll test build for ya

As for project I've been doing a lot of test building of late. The current build is still under wraps for now till the designer wants it to be known.

If you like Turn A stuff I do have the 3D model art book for references. A great series that didn't seem to get enough love.

Hmmm SEED and SEED Destiny, I do like a lot of the designs but haven't seen the series yet so I couldn't make much of a recomendation. My personal favorite desing you have already done at the start of this thread I love the Force Impulse and my other fav the Strike Noir was done already to by Mr. Tang. I do have a sweet spot for grunt units such as the Strike Daggers, Goons, Bu Cues and such I'ld really like to see a Goon as the only plastic kit is the basic no grade 1/144.

hmmm... got a bite... goon eh? :p

Other than seed series, does anybody know there are good zaku design out-there? been thinking bout this though.

As for Impulse, I did that because of 2 main things. 1. It look great, and 2. you can make 1 design to get all the three (force, sword and blast). I'm also intrigued to make the force variant after rescale and using thicker paper. The same would also apply for strike, as you will get noir, rogue and the weapon variants (aile, sword, launcher and iwsp).

Haven't very much success on "posable" designs. Joints are too loose for paper. I can't pose them without gluing out everything.

Hey CB,

If it's a Zaku you want then how's this one? THe Zaku II FZ from 0080 War in the Pocket.

The Hygogg from WIP is an awesome design only ever done in 1/144

Here's a site for you to go check out. It's a must for any reference list

Mecha Profiles | Mobile Suit Gundam

In there you can also find stuff from Hevay Metal L-Gaim also. I'ld love to see some stuff come of that series to

G1, thanks...
I go there also to get details like dimensions, etc.. e.g. to determine scale.

for model reference, it is best for me to use a scanned plastic model manual (master grade), which I found mostly in dalong.net.

Been in my thought to make another popular from seed series, like Destiny or Infinite Justice.

Hey, speaking bout my impulse, If anyone here interested to have the template, and make them, let me know, shoot an email to [email protected]

How about an RMS-108 Marasai?

More pics here:
http://www.geocities.jp/kxm3002/MARASAI.htm

Derived from the Zaku series this one hasn't been upgraded to MG yet. Only HGUC 1/144. Too small for me (although I have the original kit from the '80s)

57TM,

Yeah the Marasi is a nice design :D THose old kits are rather horible aren't they? If 1/144 is small for you stay away from the 1/144 Gundam 00 kits :P

Here's the 1/144 Exia I'm using the conversion parts to make it an Astrea.

Another builder has succesfully made a beta build. G1, I noticed that I havent fixed something from this beta. Its the shoulder, and something is missing in the PDO instruction (I remembered added this part on the fly). I'll send you a page with some revised parts. Thanks!

p.s. yes he put the weapon wrong, I told him to fixed that....
