Hello emver333
What I'm doing with mine is auto body primer sand smooth repeat then paint high gloss black then Rust-oleum bright coat metallic finish (wait a full day before you move it ) and it comes out close to the chrome
have a look My T-800 Paper Craft it looks better in person.

Man how do you guys sleep at night? I'd be jumping outta my skin if I saw that in the middle of the night on one of my many nocturnal trips. I think I'd have to have a paper model of a plastic explosive pipe-bomb just in case!

No the T-800 that you build wont make you jump out of your skin because even in the dark you know its there.
Have you ever seen one of those Vacuum cover dolls?
I came home from work late night, all the light were out went up the steps turned the corner and there was this shadow standing there arms out with what looked like a small club in the dark ( it was a feather duster ). I jumped out of my skin ( normally the vacuum was put in the closet )

Man, I'm not so sure of that. We have a stand-up cut out of Frankenstein we use at Halloween - it always seems a little disturbing when I come down the stairs and there he is...
