Mouse Guard paper models

Searching for another paper figurines, accidentally I found few free models of famous Mouse Guard comics characters by David Petersen (https://twitter.com/mouseguard/statu...85620955475969).
I thought of my wife's nephew (I am his godfather), who was fond of the series and I quickly decided to make a figure or two - this time no rescaling was performed, so the model is roughly twice as big as a real mouse. The screenplay of the story was set in the year 1146 so the mouses are clothed and armed like twelfth century peasants and knights. I used the character named Rand, who was a shield bearer, however no offensive weapon was provided by the author, so I took the sword from one of his comrades. I glued the small 1cm dia magnets into his feet, which improved his stability and allowed him to be temporary fixed to the upper edge of a fridge doors. Printed on 80 g per sqm copy paper, layered with a 170 g per sqm cardboard, glued with polymer and vinyl (white) glue, acrylic painted on the edges.

BTW, the castle in the background is another my papermodel (pretty old), made from scratch for the plastic knights in 1/72 scale as an exercise - the textures and all the nets were designed and drawn in AutoCAD Rel.10.

Edit: I added two more photos of a little guy - he looks pretty sturdy and dangerous, doesn't he?

I have meant to do some of these several times, but have never gotten around to them.

Are you planning to do more?

Well, I don't know yet.

I am not a great fan of The Mouse Guard universe, because I read the Polish translation only and I found the story unfinished and never to be finished. The whole MG dossier in Polish language comprises of Fall and Winter, two parts each. Only this year I got the info that there were some prequels and/or spin-offs and that the movie was planned.

And as for the models themselves, the figures are not that splendid: the feet are not parallel (they are sloped) so the guy stand on the inner edges of his feet, and the upper arms look too short for some weapons (for example, the shield collides with the head). The members can be only slightly rotated around the fixing point. And, finally, the engineering is not perfect: some gluing tabs are colliding with one another (in upper arms) while some other are missing (in lower legs).

But it is still possible that I will make another character if my godson will find Sir Rand satisfying - at least I downloaded all of his comrades.
