That was my motto until I ran out of space.
I built my own extra deep shelf into my basement wall, but it's now filled with my PC games :D

I should be done the horse tomorrow.
I have the body done like I said:

That shot is missing the hooves. I thought I had a newer shot...

And here's the head & neck:

The horse is done! Though I still didn't attach the hair or ears.

As you can see, the forehead's colour is completely off. It shouldn't matter though, because the hair should cover it.
The seams will also end up being covered, at least partially, by the reins/whatever it's called.

Looking good! From my days as a military miniatures painter I believe this would be a Polish "Winged" Hussar - does he belong in the Aviation section?

I think he'd be more of a Buzz Lightyear type of guy... "falling with style" :D

A Polish bookstore I go to has a Husarz armor in their window, but every year he loses more and more feathers. People probably steal them. They now also sell soap and shampoo, and carry less and less Maly Modelarz :(

Hmmmm...
They were armored and fast and their job was to break the line of enemy defence opening them for ligther units to wreack havoc in the rear area.
This sounds like an armor section to me :D

This is really quite an amazing build...few parts, extreme curves and joints, yet you've done quite a wonderful job of it. Kudos to you!

I'm looking forward to seeing more of this build!

Cheers!
Jim

Thanks Jim.

Having this thread here really does motivate me. Like I said earlier, I ditched this thing almost a year ago, because it was getting too hard - after just two parts :D
Now that I get to post updates and such, it just gives me a reason to keep going. I think I'll end up making a build log of everything :p

The horse is no longer bald!

I've never done paper hair before, but it actually looks ok.

That horse looks very similar to a rose dapple arabian I used to own. I cant imagine a heavy cav would have ridden an arabian though. What kind of horse is it representing? Anyone know? Very nice build so far and the mane covered up that strangely colored part very well!
