PDO Files
Double trouble, a newbie to computers AND paper modelling but I'm learning fast.
I understand that pdo files can be viewed using Pepakura viewer. This allows me to preview the file BUT not save it in another format. Apparently when it comes to printing "most" printers should be able to print out the pdo file. My question is if I want to resize the pattern to another scale do I not have to save it in a format, say jpeg, other than pdo in order to resize? If so how do I do that? Cheers Will |

Try with Pepakura Designer.

Only works if the file isn't read-only. You could try printing to a file, like .pdf.

Yes, try CutePDF - Create PDF for free, Free PDF Utilities, Save PDF Forms, Edit PDF easily.. This will allow you to print to a PDF file then you can open it in software like GIMP or Inkscape (for vector graphics).
If you need to work in JPG, then you could convert from PDF using PDFill PDF Editor with FREE PDF Writer and FREE PDF Tools - www.PDFill.com. Good luck!

Under the File drop down menu is a selection called Copy Development to Clipboard. Try using that then open your graphics program and paste as a new image.
You might get some weird results. I did that once with a four page development showing in the development window and when I pasted into PaintShop Pro it was one page that was as wide as the four pages. All of the parts were showing, though. Another time only a few sections of the parts showed up on the page, not the whole part.

hello
take the file to your local copy shop and have them print out the sheets. then scan them into a flash drive. you can even resized them before you scan them in. there is very little quality loss. try it and see, its not too expensive. jim |
