I have been at this for a little over a month. I really like the planes from https://www.fiddlersgreen.net/
They are good looking and easy and you get your first three models free. I am thinking of buying one of their collection CDs. I have done some of the 1:72 scale planes but the small scale makes it a bit tricky. the 1:32/1:33 scale and the 1:48 scale planes are great. Just my two cents in. CT |

I agree with CT. The FG models are pretty simple but very nice.
Fiddlersgreen.net.. 3 FREE papermodels for new visitors <- link NOBI at Thai PaperWorks has some nice 'easy but beautiful' ones including some freebees. Thaipaperworks...making papermodeling easy, but beautiful. <- link ~ cheers |

The simplest planes in our download section would probably be the 3 re-colors of the Spitfire. (Link to one - PaperModelers.com - Downloads - Spitfire Mk IX FY-F, 1:48 scale). IF I was building it as my first plane, I might skip all the cockpit interior, but either way it's a tested design so you know you shouldn't be fighting a poor fit due to poor design, and it's fairly simple and representative of the basic skills you'll need to progress into other planes. A 'next' suggestion from me would probably be the free Gee Bee Racer from www.gremirmodels.com. It was my first 'advanced' plane, and went together rather easily with barely any hitches.
