Sweet! But I would think it might be a little tricky for smaller scales.

Yeah, that's really funny all right. That happened to me once and I was actually looking around for it...Hmm my leg feels funny, oh there it is! The handle I use today has a hex shape, not as much fun but less blood loss!

Oh yeah, that's from someone who doesn't think Godzilla might be overkill for a vivarium project!

I really like the fiskars fingertip control handle, I find it to be very precise.

Like others here have already mentioned, I really find the Fiscars to be most comfortable knife handle for me. As you can see mine is quite worn, in fact the blue rubber has worn away down to the center barrel.

Finally I got one. It's a Fiscars softgrip, but it seems that here in the UK they sell a different model, see below. I wanted the one KCStephens mentioned, but I like this one anyway. Seems equally solid as the original x-acto, but thicker and more comfortable. The blade slot seems also safer (more foolproof).

Here's my plan for the near and long future:

- Michael Dazzo's Porsche 959 as soon as the design it's ready.
- Ken West's X-15.
- Uhu02's Faro Basso.
- Ingenia's Citroen 2CV.

Enough for me for a few years probably :D.

Did some checking at some Amazon.com sites for the UK and other European countries and not one of them lists the Fiskars Softgrip ergonomic craft knife. They do list the round one with the softgrip band.

There is a place in the US that will ship internationally, but the shipping would probably far exceed the price of the knife.
Fiskars 12-6700 Ergonomic Craft Knife - Widget Supply
Price: $4.29 (6+ $3.86)USD

Did some more checking and found a listing on Ebay.co.uk
Fiskars Ergonomic SoftGrip Comfort/Precision Xacto Knife Blue w/ Orange Cap NIP | eBay
Price: US $5.49 (Approximately £3.27), shipped from Wisconsin, USA for US $3.23 (approx. £1.92).
