And I would hazard a guess that he has released those free models as printed/commercial kits now?

If not, what would be the status of his free kits?

This may be the model that was originally specified for the Fokker E-III Challenge. It is offer as a free download on Paper Craft Square, but does that website have the designer's permission?

As you are new to the hobby, you might not know which sites are pirates or not, while PS2 was a legitimate aggregator of new "FREE" paper models, they decided to post illegally scanned models, so they have now been deemed pirates.

I highly doubt that the link on the site points to the original download link, so more than likely it is hosted illegally, and without the designer's permission.

And as I suspected, the post you found was from their "original" aggregator site, but both links shown go to sites that no longer exist.

Well, it's too bad this model or similar is not available for this challenge. But, hey, maybe it's time for a new challenge.

Have you checked the Wayback Machine? They might still have the original PDF files.

I have watched this thread, off and on, hoping it would produce something...
I liked that Fokker model.

Disappointed.

If the model isn't available and this project can not continue
and you guys want to start a new "group build"...

I would be honored to provide the model for it.
Not sure if any of my kits are suitable, or of interest,
but you are welcome to go through the store and pick (by group concensus) any model.

I'll then make it available to those who wish to take part in the build.

That's a very generous offer Dave - nice one. I've just had a quick look on Wayback and at least three of the original models can be found. However, if the designer no longer wants them to be available I don't know how ethical it would be to download and use them. Anybody got any thoughts?

Yeah, like some of you, I've got the original folder from GPM with nine variants, plus additional parts,
but peer-to-peer sharing is unacceptable without designer permission...
and as you say, if the files are no longer publicly shared online, then you can't share privately (again, without proper permissions).

Quote:
For individual use only. All rights reserved. Copyright ©2003 MODELE KARTONOWE
The original designer may not be the one to give permission for this,
since it looks like the GPM model site itself distributed the models.
The designer may have intended for the site to have the rights over the release.

In that case, you will have to ask permission of them.
I tried the link ...and didn't get very far....
since that link takes you in all kinds of redirects (I'd say its been spam hacked),
and if you do get to GPM, the site now expects me to install some sort of browser add-on
which will "change my browser search engine" or something like that...
I didn't bother going any further.

Maybe one of our Polish members could reach out to Lech, and ask what the disposition of those kits is, at present.

And if he would be willing to share them with the forum or through some other method.
