Ditto, I wholeheartedly agree with that wisdom. I really hate to hear this wonderful Forum will no longer be, I have made many friends there and to tell the truth, it was while stationed in the wonderful country known a Germany, I learned of the art of paper modeling. A sad loss to say the least.

My understanding of the kartonmodel forum announcement is that after five years of running the forum Mr Pleiner is ready to move on to other things. I get the impression however, rather than archiving the forum, he would consider handing it over to someone else who would be willing to take on the responsibility of operating it.

Running a forum all by ones self would require a lot of ongoing dedication and time, and I think Mr Pleiner is to be congratulated and heartily thanked for all of his contributions to the paper modeling community, not just the forum.

He is a fantastic designer and has posted some of his models for download on the forum site.

I am sorry to see that the German Forum is being wound down, but I am gratefull for all the time he moderated the site and the patience and forbearance he displayed toward his English-only speaking guests.

Danke Herr Pleiner.

Oh my. Ok so I am fickle and have transient loyalties. I just took a peek at
kartonbau.de - Kartonmodellbau, Kartonmodelle, Cardmodels, Cardmodeling, they have a great thread on building the Wespe.
Is it Ok to lurk more than one paper model site?

Bummer. I have enjoyed that forum very much; tons of great modeling going on over there. They also had some really cool vintage models for free downloading.

That would be an interesting list. What I wonder about even more is how you are able to bend time and space to do all that, plus this forum, especially with members like me yanking your chain!

I remember a certain Sci-Fi show that had the last episode titled 'All Good Things...'

Unhappy Multilingual

The KartonModell-Forum had a special atmosphere... Don't know why.
Being a member of all known papermodelforums in Dutch, German, English and French I have alternatives, but still regret the countdown of KMF...

Greetings
PT
