I just found much to my dismay that the German language paper model forum
at Kartonmodell-Forum | Portal will be going inactive in Feb. 2011.

That is a pity since they had a lot of material that complimented the posts on this site.

Oh well, nothing lasts forever.

ah that is a pity they had so many great build threads I loved looking in on the builds there over the years. No idea what they were writing but for google translate.

Looks like they're all gonna have to come here. That will be good, more members=more tips, more builds, more chatter

Man that's sad. As much as I love papermodelers.com they had a very European feel and it was a nice change. I find it difficult enough keeping up with PM as it is but would welcome them with open arms. Here's hoping they pop on over to us and say hello.

yes thats a pity for those, who liked to have contact across the ocean to papermodelers over there.
Maybe there´s an alternative on www.karonist.de if not allready known to you.

Try Kartonist.de | Portal for the link to that forum and there is also Kartonbau.de - Alles rund um's Kartonmodell... | Portal . Perhaps we won't be overwhelmed with desperate German speaking refugees on PM.

Some of us are also from "over the ocean"

Wow! That is a pitty. There are so many wonderful builds there to look at it would be a shame if it's no longer available. I really hope that they are able to resolve what ever is going on and continue to remain active. If not, please come over here to Papermodelers dot com.
