As simplistic as it is, this Andy Warhol paper model is what has inspired me to get into papercrafts and paper models, and has sparked many ideas for future model creations. It was one of the first paper models I built.

Thanks for sharing that great little model. Whether you loved his work or hated it, his art always drew you back for a secret second look. You couldn't help yourself. I always thought of him as the world's greatest art salesman. He drew people into the art world that had never thought about it. And he really understood the art of PR. When you see something weird or odd, what is the first name that pops into you head? You got it!! The poster boy for thinking outside the box.

I completely agree. Andy Warhol made the mundane seem exceptional. My impression of his work is that it shed light on the hundreds of un-named artists and designers, toiling away in obscurity to create the objects and graphics that inform and brighten our everyday lives.
