for the longest time I've been trying to find the matte paintings from the movie forbidden planet in some hi-resolution scan. Any idea where they are?

Theres only one matte from FP here but I thought it might interest anyway as it shows well the lost art of matte work the early CGI.
Matte Shot - a tribute to Golden Era special fx: The art of the MGM matte... a selection of lesser seen mattes from the Newcombe Dept.

yes! that's the one I remember. This shot in the movie was incredible. The three of them walking on that platform.
