When I was little (about 1949) my parents made a suit of armor out of cardboard and painted it with silver paint.
I thought it was great. It was probably for a cub scout project but could have been for Halloween. |

I made some for my kids out of plastic buckets, lacing the parts together with those wide flat shoe laces. Not sure what ever became of them.

My nieces and nephew are very interested in making themselves each a suit of Samurai Armour.
I've given them the relevant links, and am currently awaiting news of the results. As a Kendoka, I'm much interested to see that such history is preserved, albeit in cardboard rather than the original (and hugely expensive) materials. Nin-po Ik Kan!. Kind and Respectful Regards, Uyraell. |
