Thank you for the responses and continued updates, gents!

I do wish you the very best in completing the designs on what looks and sounds to be a very interesting ship, and appreciate your keeping us in the loop on how the project is progressing.

Cheers!
Jim

Just got word from the museum. I will be continuing the small-scale model with the possibility of a larger version in the future.

Woo-hoo! I just printed a completed sheet. I might have a display stand pic to post on Twitter sometime today. Keep a sharp eye out.

I'm roughly halfway through the textures, which are coming along much faster than I thought. Since the review/approval process took nearly a month, I got a deadline extension. I hope to still finish it on time, but it's nice to have the extra time.

Okay, so I forgot that I have to take pictures as I build. Since I want all of the pictures to be uniform in lighting and backdrop, I'll have to hold off building anything until I get the textures completed.

I'm spending Mother's Day weekend with my mom, but I'll still be able to work. It'll give me something to do in the mornings/afternoons.

I just uploaded 13 photos to Flickr. I've since re-colored the masts and sails, but the photos are good representations. We'll see what the museum has to say.

Wow, Robert, that really came out very well!

You did a superb job in designing her, and the build is spectacular!

I was wondering what you used for the flags, is that paper, because on the blue pennant I see what appears to be a fabric texture but I really can't tell...whatever you did they look great.

Really nice job on the rigging too, puts the finishing touches on a brilliant looking ship.

If the museum doesn't like it then I don't know what they could be looking for....

Thank you so very much for sharing photos of your work on her, they are quite nice.

Cheers!
Jim
