Looks good to me. Maybe a bit of discontinuity between the building and the pumps -- but I remember some rural and small town stations were I grew up in Oklahoma and Texas that looked similar to that. The building may have been put up in the 1910s and with little updating. As the pumps and requirements for them were changed they would change those out, but not really change the building. If the company offered them a new sign that might get added usually just stuck over, or next to, the old signage.
I'm heading over to download it now. Thanks.

Quite true, artistic license usually triumphs over accuracy for a number of reasons, even for the "pros"...lol! the textures are very good and the build looks great so far...

the only reason i pointed any discrepancies out is because my father worked for Texaco for 43 years. our family bleeds Texaco red.

I would like to thank all the friends who visit this thread: Cami, nebeltex, KCStephens, Vermin_King, whulsey, mldixon, jagolden01, spaceagent-9, Kiki-paper, peter taft and Art Deco. Thanks for all you for those nice words!

I want to thanks Nebeltex for the tip about round forms on MsPaint: easy and really functional!

To Vermin King: I am doing a reduced version and will post here very soon, ok?

Here is the second part of the assembly of the Texaco Vintage Service Station Paper Model In 1/25 Scale.

I reinforced walls but not the windows, so that light can pass from the inside out.

In these two pictures above you can see two ways to brighten this model with LED bulbs: the simplest way, linking the LEd directly in a battery or using an old cell phone charger. In that case you will have to use a resistor with the lamp.

This model is not finished yet...

Very nice - as always!

--------------------------------

Artistic licence rules with modelling. If it looks good its fine!

Imagine some place where they fit. Plenty of places in Angola, Mozambique or central Africa where this style is an easy fit. Some pumps are even still hand pumps. Out in the sticks in Brazil? Etc.

Enjoy the model! Skip the worry!
