An assortment of ship models made out of preprocessed paper (wood). The models are micro scale, hyper real, have a very high level of craftsmanship and obsessive attention to detail. Makes me think about flying to Japan the next time I need dental work. |

2016 Ship Model Show
A few pictures from the 2016 show by the Rope, Japanese Ship Model Club.
The models are mostly made from wood, but wood is the crude raw material from which paper is made. It is worth clicking through the site to see the other interesting things the members have posted. 41st Annual Exhibition 2016 - And for a paper fix after looking at all the wood models, here are some tours of huge stores in Japan , devoted to everything paper related. One floor has full wall displays of paper samples.
