Any idea of when the Horch will be available?

There is the same situation as with WW1 ships. We have to make some changes in the model before releasing.

To Zathros:

In general, we are not against payment using the checque. However we are settled in the Czech Repubilc so sending a checque could be a very slow payment variant and it would be also very complicated and expensive (about 20$) to cash the checque here (I hope I understood well that you meant the "paper" checque. Payment by checque is not very common in our area).

We know, that the PayPal is not the best payment method for some our customers. But because of the bank system in our country and high bank charges we are in complicated situation. Nowadays, we concern setting up a bank account in the USA.

What we can offer you now, is the payment using the "bank transfer". There is also some fix bank charge (about 8$) but it is much more acceptable than checque for us. If you want to buy some models from us, I can send you the price including the bank charge and our IBAN.

Because the process of receiving money using the "bank transfer" is not automated with our e-shop, we do not offer this option implicitly. We offer this option to the customers who do not want to pay with PayPal and want to order more than only a few models.

Well, I am glad to find this thread and find that bestpapermodels are members here
and have posted some info.

I have heard this site mentioned a few times and I decided to check it out today.

I must say, its a very nice assortment of affordable, cheap and dirt cheap models!
Almost everything is beginner to Moderate level build experience,
but the graphics and colours on most kits seem to be above par.

Even the simplest of designs have great textures and details.

I picked up a couple of digital downloads, and grabbed a couple of their "free" models.
Payment was quick and simple checkout through Paypal.

And the download links came by email, within 30 seconds of payment.

Only issue I had with the site is speed.
Every page took forever to load.
Pictures took forever to load.
And the downloads...awful.
I normally download files on the Net at about 1500-2000kbps
When I finally connected to the download links, the models downloaded at 30kbps, maxing out at around 100kbps.
This indicates to me a severly restricted download access or a need for updated servers and file storage.
Either way, this is something that might make me think twice about more downloads.
I think the owners need to be aware of this.

Other than that, I highly recommend bestpapermodels
especially to beginner modelers.

Thank you very much for this feedback. We have never heared about this kind of problems from our customers before. Our server is located in the Czech Republic (in Prague) so the way to overseas is quite long and complicated (even for the internet). However, the things you are reporting are alarming.

I would like to ask other our customers here (who lives far from the Czech Republic), if they have the same experience as Airdrave. If so, we would consider changing the location of our server.

I have not had the sort of problems AirDave reported. The site loads quickly for me and downloads are on my hard drive within a minute.

Same for myself, I have not had any problems at all with either the purchase or the downloads. All of my purchases so far have gone thru quickly and easily.
