This is a rare surprise tatebanko with moving parts that reveal the hidden secret of the tatebanko. Pulling a string moves the secret panel and shows the ready to pounce monster oni-cat inducing shock and terror in the unprepared viewer. This tatebanko was intended to be displayed on dark nights, lit by flickering candles. Only the bravest of paper modelers should try to download and assemble this tatebanko. Japanese Inn Tatebanko

A very high resolution set of images of a 7 sheet Tatebanko of Japanese inn Yamozen. I had posted another set of images of this tatebanko with smaller images in a previous posting. This tatebanko is hosted on the National Diet Library website. The images can be downloaded as either JPEG or PDF files. This is a huge tatebanko , a very large file set, 7 sheets, requiring a large display area, particularly if the sheets are printed out at their original size (approximately otanzakuban 大短冊判 ). The tatebanko shows the Inn's interior, complete with guests, inn staff, many musume, and not just one but two professional woman to keep the guests company. It is not required to include cutouts of the two professional women in the completed display of the tatebanko, they can be brought out only when you are showing the tatebanko to sophisticated viewers who will not be shocked the sight of oiran in the inn's back rooms. The tatebanko of the Yaozen Inn that I recently posted is hosted on the National Diet Library web site.

The one online result in the listing is an article about extracting 3D information from a flat image, and using that information to construct tatebanko that blind people can use to sense the picture: https://dl.ndl.go.jp/view/download/d...alternativeNo= The Yaozen Inn tatebanko did not appear on my search. If there is a forum member who reads and writes Japanese, perhaps he/she might be able to use the search page to see if there are other tatebanko archived on the National Diet Library that are available online.
