Gee Beegone !

Hi Sprogs,

Was this, by any chance, the Gee Bee R.3 model you were looking at (R/C model plans, requires previous membership):
https://aerofred.com/details.php?ima...393&name=#plan

I can't find any PAPER or CARD model of the 'slim-looking' Gee Bee R.3 either, except for the excellent 'fat-looking' Gremir Gee Bee R.1 1/33 scale model, drawn by Rafal Ciesielski: Models

The search goes on...

Do be kind to your index finger. It makes a great nostril cleaner.

Sorry to have not replied to you all but since someone mentioned the "C****ter" word I've been hiding in the wardrobe with the lion and the witch.
It was definitely a card (paper) model, I've looked everywhere for it, even in the fridge (where all lost items take up residence). I can't even get the partial files to tell me their full address. I will keep looking though, if only to reinforce my own existence.

P.S. In another thread, I put a picture of myself as I was when, some considerable time ago, I was a man. NO, I wasn't, I physically was. Did I do wrong ? I just didn't want anyone thinking of me as something I am not. I know I can never be truly real, but these are the limits the Lord gave me and I will do my best with them.
Thank you all, In the last month, I've started doing things again and it's wonderful after such a long period of immobility.

I've never licked a finger to turn papes. I just slip a finger nail between. The moist finger might actually be faster. Also, the index finger helps with using a hobby knife.

I dont think there ever was an R3. You may be looking for a mythical bird. There was the great looking GeeBee QED, and the unfinished 8 seater C-8. Would be great to find models of either of those.

Granville Brothers never produced an R-3. They built the R-1,R-2, Z, and a Sportster variant.

I'm beginning to think you might be right on this. The only references or pictures I can find on the R3 are about models. Regrettably not paper ones though.
Nice looking bird though.

Makes me wonder where the inspiration for the models came from though? Apparently the number on the tailfin is registered to a Cessna,
