a good place to start
Skimming thru the posts, usually you get a question on where to start beginners on paper models. This is a good one, and then advance with other very simple shaped dinos on papermau.
Unless you plan to hang out with the beginner and help them step by step, a few pieces a day, I wouldn't give them something very difficult. Dinosaur Diorama | Kids' Crafts | FirstPalette.com |

Good idea about posting simple starter model resources here.
This site lets you make a simple tipi that you can decorate as you like: Free Teacher's Resources and Projects There are other historic structures available on that page. Some one page owls very colorful: 3EyedBear: Hoothoot! A couple of simple trebuchets one has graphics the other is blank so you can decorate it as you want: A Paper Trebuchet
