Hello. I also really liked the ships of this author. However, I changed the scale-increased it by one and a half times. Because of this, we had to rework the reamers a little and add add the keel and bulkheads.. Here I have assembled a floating battery. I'm currently working on another model.

@ Joe711, many thanks for your kind comment!

@ Trott02, very nice and clean build, congratulations? Hope to see more builds from you in this thread. As in the original website, your model shows that in their own original style these models have their own appeal. And there are a lot of them to build a nice collection!

Below is the link to other build of mine from the same collection:

Spanish C Class Submarine 1/300

Yes, I have almost finished one of the ships. It remains only to get chains for anchors. And at the same time I am preparing the next project. I saw a submarine. But it's probably a little complicated for me. In addition, you have a lot of improvements that add realism. It's very cool.

Soon to be available!

Some pics from Jesús López Bea, with an advance of the new models soon to be available for free download in his site:

Los barcos de papel

These are the Churruca, famous for sinking the heavy cruiser Baleares in a daring night action (Cape Palos) during the Spanish Civil War and the Gunboat Cánovas in neutral livery during WWII when it served in Spanish Equatorial Africa.

Less is ALWAYS more!

I concur with the other comments about the build of the ship itelf, nicely done. BUT-all that work seems to have been greatly diminished by the photography. I have noticed that this seems to be a reacurring "problem" here with a great many of the modelrs that post photos. It seems that they are so excited about finishing their model they totally forget that a well thought out photo should always be the final finish to any endeavour.

As a visual graphic artist by professionm one should never allow the backgrounds, or use of a visually overpowering frame to detract from the main subject.

The ships in the photos seem to be going at right angles to the flow of the waves, pulling my eye instantly to the water and away from the main subject. The use of "cotton wakes" may be a good visdual trick, but LESS IS MORE HERE. When I first looked at these photos all I kept seeing was "odd water" waves, and way too much cotton wake. Tone down the cotton whiteness too, a little bit of gray, or burnt umber chalk would help. Ironically a relatively easy fix with just a little more concern to the overall photo backgrounds.

I realize that no one likes to read criticism here but I do not mean to these statements in a negative way. Rather just pointing out some points to consider when doing the final photography.

FWIW, I found the most recent model posting to be rather alarming.

I collected it a long time ago, but somehow I was delayed to post a photo.

Nice build of the Jiyuan Trott02, congratulations!
And that reminds me that I have to finish my Jiyuan during my Summer holidays!
