That's amazing about the Gerald Ford - Must be quite large even for a 1:350? About 96cm maybe??

Lex - I've made the Kirishima, took me about 2 months at roughly 2h per day. I didn't find it that difficult, though time consuming, and to be honest the instructions are superb, possibly even describing 'obvious' points, but you can never be too clear. Theres a seperate instruction sheet for each parts sheet, and a kind of a 'before-and-after' method of diagrammatic explanation which is about as clear as it gets.
The sonar dome and the lattice mast were tricky. I used a Xerox printer, forget what type, but the 'ink' flakes off bit too easily when I bent/scored the parts. A bad workman blames his tools, isn't that right?!
I was so impressed I made a donation.

I have a question for everyone and anyone:
Where and how can I get a copy of his Yamamoto????

Regards,
Alan

You can try and email him directly

or send an email to Hobby Link Japan, and ask if they can order a copy, and ship it to you

Good news.
Was able to get a copy by going here:https://store.shopping.yahoo.co.jp/k...62561404.html#
I ordered 2 but they can supply only 1 - so bearing in mind the restrictions here and there lets see when it turns up!

Regards,
Alan

Thanks! I would love to see your build. Maybe start another thread for it?

Hi Lex,

Yes, good idea - I'l have to get it here first though.

I purchased it through yahoo.jp and it takes you to a company called 'Buyee'https://store.shopping.yahoo.co.jp/kuunerudou/9784862561404.html

Instead of posting to me, it seems to have gone into a warehouse and I have to arrange shipping from there, so we'll see what happens.

In the meantime, I had also enquired with Hobby Link Japan and further to my request they have now added it to their range and you can see it here: https://www.hlj.com/1-350-scale-pape...amato-trj56140

So - I will have to figure out what to do to get it here in this epic logistical adventure!

Regards,
Alan
