I think the release date is getting closer and closer and there will be aircraft on board

Some translated tweets in blue

".......This is the bridge part of the prototype version of the aircraft carrier "Gerald R. Ford". It may be more tiring than building a destroyer....."

"......It looks like this when placed on the flight deck. It looks like a US aircraft carrier at once......"

".....The F / A-18E Super Hornet has been brushed up. I would like to go with this for the precision version. The jet blast deflector can be placed on the deck......"

Looks great as it is already. Having Kirishima, I know Masahiro has made the domes out of a series of concentric strips to give you a proper dome/ball shape. Hopefully the final version will have those.

Alan

They really know how to capture the essence of a ship or airplane while simplifying the construction.

Hi Herky,

Good news for you sir! I got in touch with hlj (hobby link japan) and asked them to stock Masahiros Yamato model and they did.

I bought 3 from them. I'm in Ireland and it went smoothly. Basically you pay them to buy and ship the item on your behalf. They are apparently out of stock but that's easily sorted by dropping them a line requesting it.

Here it is:
1/350 Scale Paper Craft Battleship Yamato by Transworld Japan

Regards,
Alan

new pics (again)

new pics, translated tweets in blue:

".....This is the rear part of the prototype of the aircraft carrier "Gerald R. Ford".
Although there are some minor adjustments, the modeling is almost complete.
By the way, the rear opening seems to be the place to test the engine of the carrier-based aircraft.....
"

".....The large radome of the bridge has been made into a three-dimensional figure..."

"......I tried to fold the main wing....."

".......I made the F / A-18E Super Hornet even simpler and made a double-seat type. The size and position of the canopy, baking soda, and missiles need to be adjusted......."
