SU-30 by Ojimak
As suggested by Carlos, sent Ojimak san a comment on his webpage and sooner than I thought, I got the model SU-30 as I said I would like to try. Here's the result.
I have asked Ojimak san whether he would mind my posting some comments here on the build. As a matter of courtesy, I'll wait for his reply before going further. For now, just view the finished product. |

It looks good! Did you try flying it?

There's still room for improvement in the prototype as Ojimak san said. And I have made a deviation from his instruction in glueing the tail fin and stabs. See photo.
You will see that I have cut the appropriate ailerons on the main wings and stabs, and score and fold them to test fly. First attempt without cutting the ailerons, the plane dipped and hit the ground. Second attempt after cutting the ailerons, when I threw it out firmly but not too hard, the plane dived almost to the floor but picked up before it hit some chairs. Third attempt, throw it smoothly with all the ailerons up at an angle, it glided. So, the paper weigh rolled up and glued inside the nose is just about right and the CG looks acceptable when flying the plane. Oh, don't forget to add a second layer of the nose cone to reinforce and to balance the CG. |

After re-visiting the issue as depicted in the last post, I have found that there's nothing wrong with the design but just my hasty work that made waste.
I did a re-do of the relevant part, line up and glue accurately as marked and got an accurate account of what should happen. See the pictures attached. So, when the model is released, do pay attention and follow the instructions carefully to avoid disappointment. |

F-15
Another of Ojimak's F-15 just built and flew. Used 140 gsm paper to make this. Reminded me of the first Ojimak F-2A that I built when I first started doing paper modelling. It took me over 2 days to finish one but now just slightly over an hour. And a lot of fun flying it in-house.
