Cascade Locks tourism committee /Oregon pony

Yay!, I just got the link to the City of Cascade Locks (Oregon) tourism committee's new web page and they've given favorable mention to paper models and The Oregon pony model in particular.

The tourism committee's website can be found here-> Home - Cascade Locks Tourism Committee this is a VERY extensive and informative site, you can spend hours on it, lots of hyperlinks and video to keep you quite busy for awhile.

And the paper model in specific can be found here, just scroll to the bottom of the page, where it says, "Click here for more information" it takes you directly to ecardmodels.com Go here-> Oregon Pony - Cascade Locks Tourism Committee but I've been told that the cover image it's self will soon be hyperlinked.

THANK YOU Cascade Locks tourism committee!

Yeah, they just put the site up, it's about 50% complete, a, "work in progress" they still have a few external links to fill in.

This little city is booming in the short summer months as it is a recreational destination, travelers from all over the world make the pilgrimage, all of the surrounding waterfalls are spectacular, it's no wonder they designated it a protected, National scenic area back in the 1980's, had they not, it would have been inundated with development.

The reason that the Gorge is world renown for sailing and wind surfing is because the river flows from East to West whereas the prevailing winds are from the West to the East making for ideal conditions and "serious wave action".

I'm in the process of assembling the stern wheeler Columbia Gorge model, it's been quite some time since it's been revised but until now, I was unable to assemble one, I've been told that there will be a link on the tourism committee's site to that model as well when it's done.
