I'll have to check when I am in the office later in the week, but I'm pretty sure it's a MiG-3.

Orazio -- The lack of propellors on most of the Trotskiy airplanes is one of the little peculiarities -- I think we are meant to think that the engines are running and the props are spinning. It wouldn't be too hard to fabricate little props, but as Chris says, the nice thing is you can finish one in short order and they don't look bad without the props (in my opinion).

Don
I think Trotskiy does not usually include props as these are designed to be actual gliding models, very similar to the old pennyweight paper airplanes. He does include props occasionally, though, so I could be wrong!
Chris
PS. Don, on closer inspection, I see that the green plane is definitely not an IL-10, so I'm sure you're right!

There is a file out there of 'spinning' props, from FG maybe?, meant to be printed on clear paper. I've always felt those would be the best thing to put on the Trotskiy's.

True, Dan. The props are here (http://www.wsam.net/DOWNLOADs/PROPDISK.PDF) and the FG site is here: http://www.fiddlersgreen.net/, with an update posted last month on the status of FG and well worth reading. I'm looking forward to the Stinson Gull Wing, which has been in the works for some time.

That's a fun grouping, Edi. The Helldiver is on my list of Trotskiys to do!

Trotskiy Du Jour;
Mitsubishi F1M2 Pete

This one was a bit of trouble. The more I tried to soften the right angles, the worse I made things! Mods include rounding and shaping most edges including cowling, seats and control panel, clear windscreens. Definitely the most challenging Trotskiy I've done so far, and as usual for me with biplanes, it's a bit crooked!

Changing the form of the wings and fuselage really affected the fit of the supports and windscreens, so it was a bit of a salvage job.

I almost tossed it at one point, but had to see it through. It doesn't look too bad from some angles!

Still, it was a fun one. I've always liked floatplanes and I really like the look of this one!

Nothing to complain about with that nice little floatplane, Chris. I think you did a great job softening the Trotskiy version's angularity. Looks great.

And I really like your little air squadron, Edi. Where did the Vultee V-11 and the Vought SB2U come from? I'd love to add those two to my collection!

Thanks Orazio and Don

Don, the SB2U is from Fiddlersgreen, and the Vultee V-11 is a free download from Liberato:
http://liberatocr.sites.uol.com.br/downloads.html
but his downloadlinks don`t work, so send me a PM with the mail-addy

Edi
