I too bought the printed F-15C from Modelart...
and I agree, a fabulous looking kit!
and Moshe offers the best service (hes also a member here).

I will be watching this build carefully (just in case I ever build the thing! lol)

...odds are I will build the BiCentennial plane, but your info will still come in very handy.

Eagledoc, as Airdave pointed out, the F-15's are found at Modelart (See link in post above).
The buyer has an option of either the pre-printed version(s) or the electronic versions.

O.K. I decided to get started on the Mudhen (Cool nickname :D) and will have a build thread on it tomorrow!

(Moshe does offer the best service!)

Loui, the kit includes a printed transparency of the canopy which must be built up. If you look closely at the picture I posted in post #1, there's one transparency included for each model. Both kits also provide an opaque canopy and several white template canopies.

correct, the printed kit has a template and a clear sheet to work with

if you want a formed canopy, you will have to purchase one elsewhere
or make your own

Then again, I may not be looking hard enough and am probably wrong.

:D
Everyone who purchased an F-15 kit (B/C/E/I) received a download link to the assembly process pictures pack. And a written-build-review by John Murray, the founder and first editor of the CardFormation newsletter (which is not published anymore). If anyone missed those, please let me know and I'll re-send them.

I forgot to mention those! The review really got me hyped to build the F-15's and the build pictures from Louis, Frank, and even Dr. Zarkov himself are extremely helpful!

T.O.

The term "Mudhen" is in reference to the 15E being a bomber.
In order for the plane to avoid radar detection low level flying close
to the ground is a must (500 feet AGL) or lower. Therefore down in the mud.

Info comes from playing the Microprose "F15 StrikeEagle" probably way too much.

I will be watching this thread with great interest. I hope you will continue once you finish the F-15E and onto the C model.
