Was there today and confirmed that it's actually just a flat $0.25 per page if they can run it through the page feeder (11x17 max), and $1.99 per page if they need to manually use the flatbed (same max size).
So they can't handle the 12x18 plates of the book without my cutting them in half (after which I can't reassemble the book). A shame, but it's going to happen anyway. It'll only cost $4 to scan it.

I just finished scanning the Geli DC-3 @ FedEx for a few dollars.
