Leonardo da Vinci's Flying Machine Kit
Hi all,
I just received this kit from Amazon, after I saw a listing in the Science and Mathematics catalog from Dover Publications. About a $6 savings on the Dover price. The kit comes in a box, with a 48 page book with some history on the various flying inventions from Leonardo, and the instructions on how to build the automata. The author is David Hawcock, he has some other kits, Press out rockets, dinosaurs, monsters and airplanes. He also has a pop up book of various other da Vinci inventions. The registration of the cuts on the 20 sheets is excellent, as there is extra texture beyond the cut line. The print on both sides are crisp, and not photo realistic. The main box structure is a folded larger sheet of paper. The wing span is listed at 24 inches. I hope to start the kit soon. Rick

That looks like a nice automata.
That one review on the Amazon site seems to be complaining that it is a paper model.
