Travel, Learn and Explore : Build a 3D Locomotive
Hi all,
I picked this kit up at the Barnes & Noble in College Station this morning, for all of $10. This kit was located in B&N's discounted kits and books section, where other diy kits and loads of cheap references books are available as well. The package includes 14 pages of Train history and a diagram pointing out certain features on the included train kit. The kit comes with a 4 sheet instruction diagram, no texts but the drawings are pretty clear. There are 4 sheets of pretty dense cardboard, a bit more rigid than the back of a legal pad. The parts sheets are folded in half, so it looks like 8 total sheets, but there are only 4. The model is a die cut tab and slot model, and when completed, the train will measure 23 inches long and 5.5 inches tall at the smoke stack. The kit was first published in Italy, and translated into English. There are 2 website links printed on the box, sassiscience .com, which appears to be a place holder site now, and 3dcarton.com, a Dutch site that produces paper model kits for a variety of interests and industries. I think this kit might just be what I need to break out of my building slump Rick

Great kit. Nice quick stress-free fun build.
Enjoy - and you can now travel, learn and explore! I see (from the second picture) your first Journey is to Australia!

Good model as an in-betweener from more complex projects. I myself am just finishing a die-cut tab and slot of Notre Dame which I started at last-month's comvention. It is a welcome change and a fun break from my other kits.

I wish it did, Dave
I have finished model, 29 numbered parts. I have attached a couple of outdoor shots of the finished model. I did see on Amazon that there is a Submarine model in the same style, with a part of the hull can be opened to see the interior decks, I might need to check out B&N's for this kit Rick
