Besides making paper models, I spend my time doing a few different things.

One of which is my job, which I quite enjoy. I dispatch flight for a regional airline. My job consist of preflight planning, flight following, and delays.
I'm the guy who builds the plan for something around 50 flights a day.
That consists of everything from the route, the altitude, the en-route weather, the weather conditions at the departure and arrival airport. I plan the amount of fuel, the passengers on board, etc. Any and all details that go into the flight you're flying on I evaluate for the safety of the flight. I update crews while flying of turbulence or thunderstorms that my interfere with the flight. There is quite a bit of behind the scenes that I get to do that no one knows exists. Plus my my wife and I get free flights on Delta, United, American, and Alaskan airlines.

I snowboard, this will be my 7th season this next year! Got a few trips planned this year to some big resorts. My wife and I also take advantage of our free season passes to the local resort.

I rockhound too. My wife and I have been avid rockhounders for years now. We've mined Amethyst, Malachite, and Azurite out of the ground to name a few. We've explored dozens of late 1800's abandoned mines. We've found unique minerals and mining artifacts all over Utah, Idaho, Nevada, and Arizona. Our rock collection is roughly worth 1500-2000$ in minerals we've found. My personal favorite is a Septarian Nodule with an Ammonite fossil imbedded in the nodule.
With that, I've also delved into faceting some of the gems we find to make finished gemstones.

We are also pretty capable hikers. We enjoy overnight hikes on long 10+ mile hikes to short adventures in the local mountains on Utah. Slot canyons are everywhere. One of our goals is to learn and get gear to rappel some of the deeper canyons. If anyone comes to Utah, and wants a locals' knowledge of the lesser known highlights of Utah let me know. There is an endless supply of amazing places out here.

We've also recently bought a jeep to hit the countless dirt roads out here an have taken advantage of it. Utah is truly a magnificent play ground

With free flight, comes cheap traveling. We've struggled to travel the world with covid, but thats not stopped us from visiting some of our favorite places. We have gone to many National Parks and enjoyed all the nature has to offer

I am a 51 year old documentary film maker by trade and because that profession hardly gets any bread on the table these days, I also have a job in the regional archives, describing and archiving old celluloid films and photographs that are digitized.
There will be a documentary film coming up soon. Here's the preview of the animated intro, and a translated interview with me and my GF with whom I made this film is available over here.

We will do our best to get the film shown abroad too.

I'm 64 years old an recently retired. I have MA in Art Photography of all posiible things and did a career in media businesses IT sector. Lastly in charge of service and production processes and business development in a company that is jointly owned by 32 biggest Finnish newspapers.

Now my days involve driving my wife to work and back (she appreciates it greatly plus we have mutual daily schedule which is good) walk our two poodles, take care of domestic chores and concentrate on modelling. At least for now.

Other hobbies: reading, hiking in Lappland, fishing...

@Paper Kosmonaut > looking very forward see the film sometime. Please announce here when it's possible. The animation was great.

Greetings from the eve of the knightly orders in Poland!

(I am personally representing the Teutonic Order and before the pandemy I participated in Grunwald/Tannenberg 1410 battle reenactments as a "justiciar" which means an equivalent of a track marshal or course marshal, connected more to the order forces than to the jury).

The Christmas eve meeting was prepared by the Templars' Order comander Thomas Sajko [phonet. Saiko] (on the second image).

I usually say I fix airplanes. And the occasional spacecraft. I’m a restoration specialist at the National Air and Space Museum, so I get to play with all the cool toys. Oddly, right now I prefer modeling armor to aircraft, though I’ll build just about any subject. I also enjoy hunting for geocaches and doing various forms of needlecraft.

P.S. Knife, there’s a Littlewing Gyro in my garage as well! My husband’s project.

I have been a public health epidemiologist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention since 1983, mostly working on how to detect, stop and prevent outbreaks of infections from tainted food and water. Like many others there, I now spend many hours every day grappling with the COVID-19 pandemic. The challenges never cease. We started putting out a little weekly bulletin on the latest events with COVID that I help edit, which you can see and subscribe to here, if you are interested: <https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/covid-data/covidview/index.html>

In addition to paper models (ideally suited to this crazy locked-down life, aren't they), I enjoy gardening, traveling, and traditional Indonesian percussion music called Gamelan. We have a Gamelan group here in Atlanta that I play in.

Butelczynski — the Horten was worked on for about 2 years, but (sadly) work had to be suspended on it when we all got involved in the museum’s Revitalization/Transformation project (major renovation and repairs to the National Air and Space Museum’s downtown building, plus redesign of all galleries). My only involvement with the Horten was helping figure out some of the hardware (mostly bolts). It’s an amazingly cool project and I expect we’ll return to it some day.

Look at about 16:20 into the video.
I believe this is the wooden Nazi plane in question, in the Resto Hangar at Anne's work (back in 2013).
Note the chainsaw cuts, where they chopped the plane up to move it! lol
Unfortunately there wasn't much else to see at that time.

Attachment photo is from my 2018 visit.
Thats the same wings you see in my 2013 video.
If I remember correctly, they have two of these aircraft?...one in really rough condition, but also on display.
